About the Role

Doosan GridTech currently has an outstanding career opportunity for an IT Network Manager to join our growing Australian team based out of our Melbourne office. Use your engineering and technology skills to support the Company’s Engineering and Project Delivery team.


Please note only candidates with Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency will be considered for the position.


We require a deep technical understanding of complex systems, experience working with electric power distribution equipment and good customer communication skills. Desired capabilities, including utility distribution grid familiarity, are a strong plus.

Requirements

  • BS degree in IT and/or computer networking

  • Cisco certificates like CCNA, CCNP, CCIE would be an advantage

  • Cyber security certificates like CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CEH would be an advantage

Desired Skills

  • Experience with virtualization, especially VMware, VSphere, ESxi, vCenter

  • Experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems

  • Being able to work with network monitoring tools

  • Knowledge of Cloud Computing

  • Setting up storage and backup devices

  • Background in automation, PLC/HMI/SCADA programming

Responsibilities

  • Industrial Networks Design

  • Preparing the project documents including but not limited to communication network architecture, detailed network drawings, etc.

  • Ensuring that Cyber security requirements of the plant communication network is as per applicable standards and our client’s requirements

  • Managing the subcontractors

  • Configuration of network equipment, testing and commissioning including but not limited to network switches, routers, firewalls, modems

  • Working closely with the control system team to design and configure the plant control system communication network
