About the Role
We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for an experienced Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Manager - ESS to join our growing Australian team. This critical new position is responsible for orchestrating Doosan GridTech Australia’s holistic Maintenance and Warranty Support Program. Use your technical leadership skills to enhance our Company’s leadership position in designing and advancing open technology standards for the digital distributed grid. Work closely with industry stakeholders, customers (utility and IPP), and our engineers to support the best energy storage systems in the world.
This position will be based in Brisbane, QLD, Australia.
Please note: only candidates with Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency will be considered for this opportunity. We require a deep technical understanding of complex energy storage systems, an excellent ability to coordinate complicated work flows and excellent customer communication skills. Utility distribution grid familiarity is a strong plus. Other Desired capabilities, Job Responsibilities and Qualifications follow.
Requirements
5+ years of direct experience maintaining complex electric power systems.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology or work equivalent preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead others performing complex system maintenance and repair in an electrical distribution or construction environment.
Experience with electric power system or distributed energy resources strongly preferred.
Desired Skills
Electrical power system understanding.
Experience with utility-scale energy storage, utility-focused product design or delivering technology-driven products (hardware or software) for the electric grid.
Understand the dynamics of distributed energy resources within electric grid operations.
Responsibilities
Represent Doosan GridTech Australia in post-delivery Energy Storage System support.
Manage the commissioning process on active projects across Australia.
Manage Technical Field Support and contractor oversight.
Manage the 3rd party vendors of Warranty, O&M, and technical support.
Work directly with the Project Managers to ensure safety during the commissioning and O&M process.
Work closely with stakeholders – utility customers, IPP’s, industry technology suppliers and our team of engineers – to fully support our O&M agreements and keep systems online and functioning at design levels.
Establish and maintain high-quality and safe work standards.
