About the Role
Doosan GridTech currently has an outstanding career opportunity for a Site Engineer for Battery Energy Storage systems. Use your experience gained in the renewable energy field as an experienced solar/ESS engineer, or resource scheduler to develop site acceptance of a battery energy power plant. The objective of the role is to oversee and support the site activities of the plant to final commercial operation. The role will also include ownership of executed and completed ITP’s, as-built documentation updates and reporting. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position will be responsible for all aspects related to the site acceptance of the plant.
Please note: only candidates with Australian Citizenship or Australian Permanent Residency will be considered for this opportunity.
We require solar and/or BESS expertise which could have come from a commissioning or similar background. In addition, the following skills would be highly valued: Reporting, scheduling, time management skills, Quality record keeping, and EH&S knowledge.
Requirements
On-site experience with renewable power plants or other forms of power generation
Excellent record keeping
Excellent time management skills
Ability to lead and drive onsite activities through positive engagement with principal contractors
Ability to liaise and report to the client and represent Doosan GridTech
Excellent interpersonal skills and a proactive team player
Desired Skills
Responsibilities
Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and provide advice to the Commissioning Manager on testing and commissioning procedures and documentation
Documentation control of ITP’s / ITC’s
Scheduling assistance, and providing regular updates on the commissioning progress
Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults
Liaise with project engineers and other team members
Ensure safe working conditions
Review designs and supervises on-site commissioning activities
Qualifications
Bachelor of Engineering degree electrical, Trade certificate coupled with an advanced diploma and extensive experience, or similar
At least 4 years of demonstrated experience in a commissioning or similar role
