We’re addressing the growing field of electric energy storage with a new business model and innovative technologies like autonomous control algorithms and multi-level optimization.
Our team is growing and we are looking for experienced software engineers who enjoy solving challenging technical problems.
In this senior role, you’ll help us design and build the technology platform, system architecture, and software solutions for the next generation of electric power systems, and see your solutions deployed with real-world customers. If you already understand electric power systems, that’s great. But even if you don’t, you could be our candidate – if you’re a quick study and value gaining new skills, we’ll guide your domain learning as you contribute to our growth.
We require someone with strong software development abilities such as software architecture, objected-oriented programming, memory management, and multi-threading. Good working knowledge of our desired capabilities would be a strong plus.
Requirements
Experience with software design and architecture associated with complex projects
Excellent object-oriented programming skills
Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, or C++
Knowledge of memory management and multi-threading
Solid understanding of networking and distributed software systems
Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership in a team environment
Desired Skills
Experience working with embedded systems
Familiarity with peer networks and/or sensor networks
Experience with software performance tuning
Knowledge of electric power systems
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Responsibilities
5+ years’ experience delivering commercially successful software
2+ years’ leadership experience
Experience with software design and architecture associated with complex projects
Excellent object-oriented programming skills
Proficiency in C#/.NET, Java, or C++
Knowledge of memory management and multi-threading
Solid understanding of networking and distributed software systems
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Strong analytical-reasoning and problem-solving skills
Passion for maximizing the efficiency of the electric energy grid and the integration of renewable energy resources
Qualifications
6+ years demonstrated track record delivering commercially successful software
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
